Sketch journal 11/1/20       This is my sketch journal from 11/1/20, these are some of the things I saw while walking my dogs.  The dog walker in the corner had a certain way of walking that I tried to capture in the drawing.  On the upper right there's a squirrel, a kingfisher in the center, a hummingbird lower down and many mallards napping.  So much to see in one short walk!

Sketch journal, 6/22/2018       Every morning I take my dogs out for a walk and while we're out I sketch.  Some of my sketches turn into paintings.  This is from my sketch journal 6/22/2018.  In the upper right corner there's a scene from a pond with water lilies, turtles and dragonflies.  In the left upper corner there's a bee and flower. There are fish along with a dragonfly in the lower left corner.  These are some of the things I saw on my walk that day.  

Flame Dancer , (watercolor) 22x30 Original $800 matted prints 11x14 $35 16x20 $60    I just finished this painting.  It started with the flower, then I added the flames.  The flames seemed to be dancing so I added the dancing figure.
