Demaris Brown Art

I saw ground squirrels today, as well as a hummingbird.  The squirrels were very busy today.

On this day's walk I focused on plants I saw, I noticed various flowers and leaves.  At the top of the page are two squirrels running up a tree.

Flower Splash, (watercolor) 18x24 Original $650 matted prints 11x14 $35 16x20 $60   The flowers in this painting had a lot of energy, I tried to reflect that energy in the background.

Dragonfly Party, (watercolor), 11x14 Original $350, matted prints: 11x14 $35, 16x20 $60 This is a little painting I call "Dragonfly Party".  It's from a sketch I did at the park.  I was surprised to see so many dragonflies together.

Dragonfly Dream  (watercolor) 26x30 Original: $900 11x14 matted prints: $35 16x20 matted prints $60 This painting started with a sketch I made at the park of two dragonflies resting for a moment.  I wanted a different kind of background for them so then I added the flowers.  The two cormorants are from another park sketch.  Altogether I feel like the painting has a dreamy feeling.
